Abstract

This research aims to elucidate the roles and domains undertaken by institutions teaching the Holy Quran in the construction of individual character on a civilizational level, in order to correct the trajectory of awareness, progression, and development for the children of this nation. The researchers perceive that the construction of character on a civilizational level consists of seven fundamental axes, which include faith-based, educational, ethical, intellectual, psychological, instructional, and ideological aspects. The researchers employed an inductive method to trace the scientific components related to the subject to reach a general judgment, then utilized an analytical approach to discuss all ideas concerning the role of Quranic education institutions in civilizational construction. The research concludes that the Holy Quran is the foundation for the construction of civilizational character on a holistic level, and that institutions teaching the Holy Quran must make the subject of human construction and refinement spiritually, intellectually, behaviorally, psychologically, scientifically, and ideologically a fundamental goal and objective of their educational and developmental programs and efforts. This construction must necessarily be Islamic in nature, pleasing to Allah Almighty.
