Abstract

The problem of the research arises in that Imam Al-Mutawali’s methodology in his edits did not receive its due study, analysis, clarification, and comprehensiveness. Therefore, the two researchers seek to clarify Imam Al-Mutawali’s methodology through his edits, and to clarify and clarify it for specialists in the science of readings. and they singled out the book al-Rawd al-Nadir as an example. They relied on the descriptive, deductive, and critical approaches. This research consists of three sections: The first: the translation of Imam al-Mutawali, may God have mercy on him, the second: his general approach in his edits, and the third: the imam’s approach in the book al-Rawd al-Nadir. Then the research concluded with a number of results and recommendations, the most important of which are: Imam Al-Mutawali is a scholar who is proficient in his knowledge. The imam was following the methodology of Imam al-Mansouri in the Tahrirat and he wrote books on that. Then it became clear to him that he was following the methodology of Imam al-Izmiri and he wrote books on that. His reliance on the principles of publishing, and he only has five books on the principles of publishing. His reliance in “Al-Rawd Al-Nadir” on the book Al-Nashr by Ibn Al-Jazari, and Umdat Al-Irfan and Bada’i’ Al-Burhan by Al-Izmiri. Lack of reliance on Ibn al-Jazari’s performance methods.. Imam al-Mutawali disagreed with Imam al-Izmiri on many issues.
