கமலாதேவி அரவிந்தனின் சிறுகதைகளில் வெளிப்படும் பண்பாட்டு விழுமியங்கள்: ஓர் ஆய்வு (Cultural Values Revealed in Kamaladevi Aravindhan's Short Stories: A Study)

Abstract

This paper focuses on Kamala Devi Aravindan's short story collection, ' Soorya Kirahana Theru’. The primary purpose of this paper is to identify the cultural values of the Tamil Community has been appeared in a short story collection entitled ‘Soorya Kirahana Theru’. This research paper is based on a qualitative analysis methodology as the primary research method. This paper identifies four significant cultural values of the Tamil Community such as helping nature, respect for elders, ritual and belief, hospitality and eating habits. This research indicates short story collection entitled ‘Soorya Kirahana Theru’ reflects Singapore Tamil society's cultural values that are similar and non-similar to the Cultural values of the Tamil community by the Tamil ancestors.

இவ்வாய்வுக் கட்டுரையானது கமலாதேவி அரவிந்தனின் ‘சூரிய கிரகணத் தெரு’ என்ற சிறுகதைத் தொகுப்பை மையமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. எழுத்தாளர் கமலா தேவி அரவிந்தனின் ‘சூரிய கிரகணத் தெரு’ என்ற சிறுகதைத் தொகுப்பில் இடம்பெற்ற சிறுகதைகளில் வெளிப்படும் தமிழர்களின் பண்பாட்டு விழுமியங்களைக் கண்டறிவது இவ்வாய்வுக் கட்டுரையின் முதன்மை நோக்கமாக விளங்குகிறது. பண்புசார் ஆய்வின் அடிப்படையில் இவ்வாய்வு மேற்கொள்ளப்படுகிறது. மேலும், ஈகை பண்பு, மூத்தவர்களை மதித்தல், சடங்கு மற்றும் நம்பிக்கைகள் மற்றும் விருந்தோம்பலும் உணவு முறைகளும் ஆகிய நான்கு முக்கியத் தமிழர்களின் பண்பாட்டு விழுமியங்கள் இவ்வாய்வில் கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது. எனவே, இவ்வாய்வின் முடிவாக, கமலாதேவி அரவிந்தனின் ‘சூரிய கிரகணத் தெரு’ என்ற சிறுகதைத் தொகுப்பில் இடம்பெற்ற சிறுகதைகளில் வெளிப்படும் தமிழர்களின் பண்பாட்டு விழுமியங்களின் வாயிலாகப்  பழந்தமிழர்கள் பண்பாட்டு விழுமியங்களுடன் தற்கால சிங்கப்பூர் தமிழ்ச் சமூகத்தினர் பின்பற்றும் விழுமியங்களை ஒப்பீடு செய்தால் அதில் ஒற்றுமையும் வேற்றுமையும் காண வழிவகைச் செய்கிறது.
