In Indonesia, hydrothermal vents in the Pacific Ring of Fire present significant potential as an energy source. However, their development faces challenges, including technological limitations, potential environmental impacts, and the need for supportive regulations. This study utilizes a comprehensive literature review and descriptive analysis to evaluate the feasibility of using hydrothermal vents as a sustainable energy source in Indonesia. The key findings emphasize the necessity for technological advancements, careful environmental management, and a supportive regulatory framework to harness this potential effectively.
